Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise care on the medical-surgical unit under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer or Director of Nursing. The RN will plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization, and access community resources.

Education: valid RN license; BLS required; ACLS required within 90 days (ACLS for Charge Nurses); 1 year med-surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment and must be AHA approved.
• 1 year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process on the medical-surgical unit.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization; engage interdisciplinary planning.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
