Northwestern Medicine seeks a dedicated RN with a BSN to join our emergency care team. You will assess patients, develop plans of care, and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires an active Illinois RN license, BLS, and certifications (ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC) within one year of hire. ADN with commitment to BSN is acceptable. ER and pediatric ER experience are preferred; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

BSN required.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
BLS certification required.
ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day in clinical nurse role.
ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
Pediatric ER TNCC within one year of hire.
ACLS for Non-Invasive Cardiology when applicable.

Responsabilités

Assess and record patient status and identify care needs on admission or point of care.
Organize assessment data to ensure accuracy, completeness and accessibility.
Identify problems needing immediate attention.
Document diagnoses to support plan of care and outcomes.
Initiate and update the Plan of Care with patient/family involvement.
Coordinate discharge planning early with patient/family and care team.
Communicate with patient/family and health team re: care and progress.
Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings for feedback and continuity of care.
