Job summary

BayCare Health System in Wesley Chapel is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate holds an RN license with a nursing degree, at least 1 year of ER experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

You will work the mid-shift (2:45 PM – 3:15 AM), join an in-person team, and contribute to ongoing training, mentorship, and excellent career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active in Florida
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor's or higher in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year ER experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to work mid-shift and on-site

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with care team to prioritize patient needs.
• Monitor vitals, assess changes, and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with standards.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
