BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse in the ER at Wesley Chapel Hospital. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment during night shifts, with a requirement for ER experience and current licenses/certifications.

This is a full-time, in-person position supporting patient care in Wesley Chapel, FL. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, manage care plans, and respond to emergencies while upholding BayCare’s standards of

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• ER nursing experience (1 year) is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications must be current.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Ability to work varied night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital ER using nursing processes and standards.
• Delegate patient care tasks to care team members appropriately.
• Plan, organize, and update care plans with patient and family input.
• Identify and respond to patients at risk and changes in condition.
• Monitor patient vitals and communicate updates to the care team.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members.
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
