Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and teach patients and families, while collaborating with the health care team.

The role requires current Michigan nursing licensure, ACLS/PALS certifications, and the ability to circulate in the procedure room. On-call shifts rotate monthly; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS/PALS certifications.

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
• RN will be required to learn to circulate in the procedure room
• On call shifts on rotation once a month

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
