Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy unit on a full-time, days shift. Based in Detroit, the RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcomes.

The role requires clear communication with the care team and patient advocacy for individuals with complex needs. The RN will learn to circulate in the endoscopy procedure room, and participates in a monthly on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• BSN preferred; RN must have graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to plan, deliver and document care.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team.
• Participate in solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation.
• Act as patient advocate while delivering goal-oriented, safe, age-appropriate care.
• RN will learn to circulate in the procedure room.
• On-call shifts on rotation once a month.

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

• Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
• RN will be required to learn to circulate in the procedure room
• On call shifts on rotation once a month

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
