Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy team on a contingent daytime schedule. You will lead patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with the health care team, and adapt to the procedure room environment.

ACLS/PALS certification is required; BSN preferred. Based in Detroit, HFH offers opportunities across Michigan in a leading academic health system focusing on innovative patient care and education.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS/PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality patient care.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to the health care team.
• Acts as a patient advocate and ensures safe, age-appropriate care.
• RN may circulate in the procedure room; participates in on-call shifts monthly.

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
• RN will be required to learn to circulate in the procedure room
• On call shifts on rotation once a month

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
