Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy for a full-time days position. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care in the endoscopy suite, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and ensure patient safety.

The role requires a BSN preferred, current Michigan RN license, ACLS/PALS certifications, and willingness to circulate in the procedure room. On-call shifts occur on rotation once a month.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver quality patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Communicate patient information to the health care team.
• Identify and address variances from patient goals and implement solutions.
• Act as patient advocate with age-appropriate care for all patients.
• Circulate in the procedure room; on-call shifts monthly.

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
• Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs.
• RN will be required to learn to circulate in the procedure room
• On call shifts on rotation once a month

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
