Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus Emergency Department in Cleveland seeks an experienced RN for night shifts (7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays. You will assess, triage, and treat acutely ill pediatric to adult patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Required Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and PALS/TNCC as applicable. Opportunities include tuition reimbursement and OPERS retirement with a 93-bed CDU/ trauma bays environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform trauma-focused triage.
• Provide rapid trauma care and stabilizing interventions.
• Administer IVs, draw blood, and place Foley catheters.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking and delegation in a fast-paced ED.

Shift: 7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
• Level 1 Trauma Center

• 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included)

• 80k+ patient visits annually
