Job summary

The MetroHealth System's Main Campus Emergency Department in Cleveland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Level 1 Trauma Center team. You will perform patient assessments, triage, trauma care, IV insertion, blood draws, and catheter insertion for acutely ill pediatric to adult patients.

Qualified candidates must hold Ohio RN licensure and current AHA BLS/ACLS (or obtained within 90 days), PALS (within 6 months), TNCC (within 1 year), and NIHSS certification (within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; RN licensure in Ohio
• AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire
• PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire
• NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience

Responsibilities

• Assess acutely ill pediatric to adult patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Perform patient triage and trauma care
• Administer IVs, collect blood, insert Foley catheters
• Coordinate with LPNs, PCNAs, BOs and providers

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population

• Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
• Level 1 Trauma Center

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
