Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, PA is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Emergency Department. You will provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, delivering patient-centered care across shifts.

Candidates must hold PA RN licensure, have ED or CCU experience, and maintain ACLS and PALS certifications within specified timelines; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in PA (Graduate of accredited nursing program).
• 1 year ED/CCU experience or 2 years telemetry; 3 years medical-surgical acceptable.
• ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within specified timelines.
• Successful completion of background checks per HR-106 within 90 days of starting.

Description

Department: Emergency, Work Hours: Three (3) - 12 hour shifts per week,7P-7A, every other weekend and holidays as required for a total of 72 hours per pay period, 36 hours week

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• One year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience or two years of telemetry nursing experience. Will consider three years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must obtain within 6-month introductory period.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within one year of start date.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience and two years of Emergency Department experience.
• Certification in ED specialty area.
