Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, PA is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. The role requires three 12-hour shifts per week (7P–7A) with every other weekend and holidays, totaling 72 hours per pay period and 36 hours per week.

You will provide professional nursing care under the Nurse Practice Act, require PA licensure, and obtain BLS, ACLS within 6 months, PALS within one year, and complete HR-106 clearances within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• 1 year ED or CCU experience or 2 years telemetry nursing experience; or 3 years Medical Surgical nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of start.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 1 year of start.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances HR-106 within 90 days of employment.

Job description

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• One year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience or two years of telemetry nursing experience. Will consider three years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must obtain within 6-month introductory period.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within one year of start date.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience and two years of Emergency Department experience.
• Certification in ED specialty area.
