Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley in Sewickley, PA is hiring a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, with rotating days, evenings, and nights and rotating weekend/holiday coverage.

The position provides professional nursing care under the Nurse Practice Act and requires PA licensure with possible multi-state licensure. ACLS and PALS are required; BCLS required with ACLS within 6 months and PALS within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• One year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience or two years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Will consider three years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must obtain within 6-month introductory period.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within one year of start date.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Rotating days/evening/nights, 3 12-hour shifts with full-time schedule and rotating weekends/holidays.
• Demonstrates nursing competencies in the Emergency Department or Critical Care settings.
