Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to contribute to high-quality patient care across units. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, safety, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes.

You will use the nursing process, document thoroughly in EHR, and participate in professional development and ethics-based decision making. The ideal candidate holds a Board-approved nursing program credential and an active RN license, with BLS and possibly BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where providing care; multi-state compact where applicable.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsabilités

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care with family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Promote a culture of safety and ethical patient care.
• Evaluate outcomes and take action to optimize patient and unit results.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Communicate effectively and resolve conflicts to support team delegation.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure unbiased, interdisciplinary care.
• Delegate appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and UAPs as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within service area as required.
• Care for patients across age ranges according to departmental policies.
