Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care, participate in quality initiatives, and support patient and family education. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while maintaining safety and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role includes potential float to other units to meet patient care needs and requires familiarity with electronic health records and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state license where services are provided.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred BSN.
• Experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care; engage patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain patient safety standards.
• Document accurately in the EHR in a timely manner.
• May float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Provide care appropriate to age-specific patient needs and follow departmental policies.
