Job summary

Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, maintaining clear communications, and ensuring accurate EHR documentation. BSN preferred; BLS and RN license required. May float within the service area as needed to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and BLS certification.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 2 years of service line experience preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking are essential.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics and supports unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and unlicensed assistive personnel (e.g., nurse aides, credentialed medical assistants).
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Must provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan, with awareness of growth and development status.
