Job summary

Ascension is seeking an ER Nurse to join the staffing pool across the Austin, TX Metro area. The role offers a pay rate of $51 per hour with rotating schedules and PRN options.

You will deliver direct patient care, implement care plans, and coordinate patient journeys across multiple units in a fast-paced environment. Minimum qualifications include a Diploma in Nursing, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within 30 days of hire, plus at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and execute orders accurately and timely.
• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey as the central communication link within the care team.
• Record and communicate patient conditions and interventions clearly to maintain a coordinated care plan.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• 
  Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to all established organizational protocols.

• Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.

• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey by serving as the central link for communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team.

• Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • ACLS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • PALS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • TNCC obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
