Job summary

Ascension in the Austin area is seeking an ER Nurse to provide direct patient care across rotating locations within the Austin metro. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality care and follow physician orders within established protocols.

Candidates must have a nursing diploma and hold BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within 30 days of hire, plus a minimum of 2 years in the Emergency Department. The role offers rotating PRN schedules and pay of $51 per hour.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to all established organizational protocols.
• Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey by serving as the central link for communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team.
• Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s.):
  • BLS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • ACLS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • PALS certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • TNCC obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
