Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced ED nurse in Sparta, TN. The role involves day shift with PRN coverage, coordinating multidisciplinary care and executing physician orders to ensure safe patient outcomes.

You will assess needs, document care plans, and participate in discharge planning with the healthcare team. A TN nursing license, BLS, and ALS/PALS are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing required or equivalent licensure.
• Active nursing license in TN or Compact state before hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) within specified timelines.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

Required Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Compact State Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
