Saint Francis Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the CVU floor on a part-time day shift. The role involves direct patient care, comprehensive documentation, and coordination with the care team to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include timely assessments, documentation, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Requires Delaware RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 3 months; two years of step-down or PCU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferred.
• Active RN licensure in state of Delaware.
• BLS certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 3 months of hire.

• Plan and render nursing care within an assigned unit.

• Complete Nursing Assessment within 24 hours of admission.
• Identify patient needs and document appropriately.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join the team on our CVU floor!

Shift

Part-time day shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm) / Every third weekend & rotating holiday's

The staff nurse is a registered professional nurse who plans and renders nursing care within an assigned nursing unit. He/she gives direct patient care and maintains clinical records reflecting the patient’s condition, medication, treatment, examination, and progress according to the Delaware Nursing Practice Act and St. Francis Hospital’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient and/or family, significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.
• Instructs and documents patient in follow-up care/ activities in preparation for transfer/discharge.
• Evaluates the patient's/significant other's understanding of instructions.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferred
• Active RN Licensure in State of Delaware
• BLS Certification required
• At least two years' of step down or PCU experience required
• Must obtain ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire
