Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, in Delaware, seeks experienced Registered Nurses to join the CVU floor with potential cross-training in the ICU. This full-time, 12-hour day shift position offers every other weekend and rotating holidays. Required: ASN; preferred BSN.

Active Delaware RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 3 months, plus at least two years of step-down/PCU experience. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN Licensure in State of Delaware.
• BLS Certification required.
• At least two years' step down or PCU experience required.
• ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards and conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and documents accordingly.
• Implements Nursing actions as needed and identifies patients requiring intervention.
• Makes decisions reflecting knowledge and sound judgment.
• Discusses plans with patient and family and documents outcomes.
• Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate patient care.
• Instructs and documents follow-up care in preparation for transfer/discharge.
• Evaluates patient and family understanding of instructions.

Full-time day shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm) / Every other weekend & rotating holiday's

Responsibilities Include

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Completes a Nursing Assessment form on each patient within 24 hours.
• Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation.
• Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified.
• Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
• Discusses with and includes patient and/or family, significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.
• Instructs and documents patient in follow-up care/ activities in preparation for transfer/discharge.
• Evaluates the patient's/significant other's understanding of instructions.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess The Following

• ASN Required, BSN Preferred, from an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN Licensure in State of Delaware
• BLS Certification required
• At least two years' of step down or PCU experience required
• Must obtain ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire
