Job summary

Powers Health is seeking a Staff RN for Community Hospital Cardiac Intermediate. The role covers evenings and nights, with a 0.9 FTE and a 72-hour pay period.

You will implement and document the nursing process, ensuring patient safety and quality care in alignment with nursing standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana professional licensure.
• Successful completion of Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and Powers Health policies and procedures.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner. The RN provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.
