Powers Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the IMCU West unit at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The role involves 12-hour day shifts (7a-7:30p), 0.9 FTE, and a bonus-eligible status.

The IMCU West unit operates 24 hours with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patients post-cardiac events and other conditions. Responsibilities include implementing and documenting the nursing process, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to hospital standards and policies.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana RN licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Practice according to standards of care, Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies.

Registered Nurse Job, 12 hour Day shift, 7a-7:30p, IMCU

Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for IMCU to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The IMCU West unit is a multidisciplinary 24 hour unit located on the third floor of the Parkview Tower in the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve years may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 67 years. The highest volume of patients has a medical diagnosis, but surgical patients are also admitted. The most frequent diagnoses of include: angina, R/O or Post MI, cardiac dysrhythmia, CAD, COPD, CHF, pre-post PTCA, post stent, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring/observation post-op, diabetes, CVA, and peripheral vascular diseases.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy ofPHby providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
