Job summary

Powers Health’s Community Hospital Cardiovascular Unit is seeking a Staff RN to apply the nursing process, direct patient care and maintain a safe, compassionate environment for patients, families and staff.

This bonus-eligible, 0.9 FTE role emphasizes documentation, adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, and ongoing certification including CPR. Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold Indiana licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation programs.
• Maintains required specialty certifications.
• Maintains current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements and directs the nursing process for patient care.
• Documents care and maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.

Education

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner. The RN provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
