Job summary

Community Hospital in Indiana is seeking a Staff RN for the Emergency Department. This full-time position includes evenings and nights with 72-hour pay periods, 0.9 FTE, and rotating weekends/holidays. The RN will deliver nursing care, document processes, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced ED setting.

The role requires a nursing degree, Indiana licensure, and CPR certification, with completion of orientation programs and ongoing specialty certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• Successful completion of The Community Healthcare System’s Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement and direct nursing care using the nursing process.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and Powers Health policies.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health by providing the highest quality care in the most cost efficient manner. The RN provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
