AscensionAlexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to lead the Adult Psychiatric Nursing Unit. The role requires coordinating daily operations, allocating staff to meet clinical priorities, and resolving patient concerns while ensuring a safe care environment.

You will participate in hiring, training and ongoing performance evaluation to develop top talent in inpatient behavioral health.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

• Schedule: Day shift | Full-time | 3x12s | Every other weekend and holiday commitment.

• Lead daily unit operations and coordinate staffing schedules to empower the team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
• Assess real-time patient needs to effectively assign nursing staff, ensuring clinical priorities and physician requests are seamlessly met.
• Oversee department workflows and quickly resolve patient concerns while managing the resources, materials and supplies needed for a safe care environment.
• Develop top talent by actively contributing to the hiring, training and ongoing performance evaluation of your clinical team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education :

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• A minimum of 1 year of Charge Nurse or Lead Role experience required.
• Inpatient acute behavioral health experience required.
