Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a Registered Nurse in the Postpartum department for a full-time days shift. You will coordinate patient care, implement care plans, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, efficient outcomes.

The role requires TN RN licensure (or compact state), BLS within 30 days, and certifications in NRP and STABLE within defined timelines. A nursing diploma from an accredited program is required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• TN RN license or multi-state compact license recognized within 60 days.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 180 days.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification within 180 days.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

• Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
