Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The role requires careful patient assessment, preparation, and ongoing communication with physicians throughout procedures.

Minimum requirements include a Diploma in nursing and an RN license, with BLS certification due within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Performs and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assesses, prepares and positions patients for procedures. Performs conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepares, implements and documents plan of care. Communicates patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Performs and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Performs set up and provides equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
