Job summary

Ascension in Mount Pleasant, WI seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

The role involves assessing and positioning patients, performing conscious sedation and monitoring, documenting plans of care and communicating patient status to physicians throughout the procedure.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire/date of transfer.
• RN license obtained prior to hire/date of transfer.
• RN credentialed by Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire/date of transfer.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assesses, prepares and positions patients for procedures. Performs conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
• Prepares, implements and documents plan of care. Communicates patient’s condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
• Performs and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
• Perform set up and provides equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
