Job summary

Valley Health System in Southern Nevada seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to lead discharge planning and utilization management to optimize patient outcomes and reimbursement. The role requires collaboration with patients, families, and the care team to ensure safe, timely discharges across units.

Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree, RN licensure in Nevada, and 3+ years of clinical experience with a preference for utilization management or case management exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience includes minimum three years in varied clinical settings.
• Two years in Utilization Review/Management or Case Management preferred.
• Knowledge of social and physical factors affecting discharge, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Discharge planning to achieve safe, individualized discharge and ensure timely utilization management.
• Collaborate with patient, family and healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes.
