Job summary

The Valley Health System in Nevada is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support discharge planning and utilization management. You will work to ensure safe patient transitions and maximize reimbursement through proactive collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Qualified candidates have a nursing degree, Nevada RN license, and at least three years of varied clinical experience; two years in utilization review/management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in varied settings.
• Two years in Utilization Review, Utilization Management or Case Management preferred.
• Knowledge of social and physical factors affecting discharge and community resources.
• Current Nevada RN license and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Discharge planning to ensure safe, individualized patient transitions.
• Provide proficient timely utilization management services to maximize reimbursement.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health care team for optimal outcomes.
