Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks an experienced cardiovascular ICU nurse leader to coordinate and deliver expert care to critically ill cardiac patients and post-operative cases. You will work with cardiology and surgical teams to implement evidence-based care plans and to supervise care while guiding and supporting families through recovery.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides expert leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document comprehensive care and teaching for critically ill cardiac and post-operative cardiovascular patients and their families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the interdisciplinary health care team. Participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals, ensuring optimal cardiovascular outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, including post-operative cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, and arrhythmias
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based protocols and care plans
