Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Advanced Care team. The RN will manage episodes of care in partnership with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care on rotating day/night shifts.

The successful candidate will hold a Minnesota RN license (BSN preferred, within 2 years of hire) and maintain BLS. This on-site role offers 0.75 FTE with flexibility to cover rotating days and nights.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in Minnesota.
• BSN preferred and expected to be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.
• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles to provide safe, effective care.

Responsibilities

• Manage the episode of patient care in partnership with patients, families, and the care team.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care delegated to Nursing Assistants and other staff.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule:

0.75 FTE - Rotating day and night shift with every 3rd weekend (12-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master's degree program in Nursing.BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
