Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Telemetry team. This role supports the care of patients with cardiac conditions and involves overnight 12-hour shifts as a 0.75 FTE partner in good standing.

The RN will manage episodes of care in collaboration with care teams, supervise CNAs as needed, and ensure safe, quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate nursing actions.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and physicians to reach treatment goals.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry patients and respond promptly to changes.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with people, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule: 0.75 FTE - Straight Overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
