Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Center team as a 0.75 FTE overnight role. The RN will manage episodes of patient care in partnership with patients, families, and a care team, ensuring safe and high-quality services.

Required qualifications include completion of an accredited nursing program (associates, bachelor's, or master's) with MN RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred and expected within two years.

Qualifications

• MN RN license (must be active)
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines
• Experience with age-appropriate care principles

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care episodes in partnership with patients, families, and the care team
• Coordinate and supervise care by Nursing Assistants and other staff as assigned

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule:

0.75 FTE, Straight Overnight 12-hour shifts & every third weekend

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
• Candidate must have previous 3W experience
