Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking a full-time registered nurse to work across Cardiology, Interventional Radiology and General Radiology, providing professional nursing care per the Nurse Practice Act. Position demands flexibility with scheduling and potential call duties to meet patient and department needs.

Required are PA licensure, BLS and ACLS, and at least two years of current Cardiology/IR/CVL experience. Review of clearances per HR policy will occur within 90 days of employment.

Description

Department: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology (IR), General Radiology, Work Hours: FT position Monday-Friday 8hrs/day ( with potential call in future for after hours, holidays and weekends). Needs to be flexible with scheduling to meet patient scheduling and departmental needs.

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.


• Basic Cardiac Life Support


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support


• Based on operational needs, on-call and late shifts may be required


• Two years current Cardiology/ Interventional Radiology Experience/CVL. In the absence of applicants with two years current Cardiology/ IR experience/CVL, will accept two years Critical Care or current ED experience.


• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.


• In the absence of qualified candidates in the above referenced areas, will consider applicants with Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Applicable training and orientation will be provided.

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.


• Certification in the posted specialty area.
