Job summary

Heritage Valley Health System's Cardiology, Interventional Radiology and General Radiology departments seek a full-time registered nurse. The role offers Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts with on-call duties after hours, weekends and holidays, starting in November.

The RN will be trained to rotate through all positions to meet patient and departmental needs. You will provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, maintain required certifications such as BLS and ACLS, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure (or other state licensure as required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Assist in Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, and General Radiology as department needs require.
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling and on-call duties to meet patient and department needs.

Job description

Department: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology (IR), General Radiology, Work Hours: FT position Monday-Friday 8hrs/day and on call for after hours, weekends and holiday (starting Nov). RN will be trained to rotate in all positions. Needs to be very flexible with scheduling to meet patient scheduling and departmental needs.

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Based on operational needs, on-call and late shifts may be required
• Two years current Cardiology/ Interventional Radiology Experience. In the absence of applicants with two years current Cardiology/ IR experience, will accept two years Critical Care or current ED experience. In the absence Critical Care and ED experience we will accept Cardiopulmonary experience of 5 years or more.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Certification in the posted specialty area.
