Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, PA is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Critical Care department. You will provide professional nursing care with adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, and rotate 12-hour shifts across days and nights, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements include current PA licensure, BLS/ACLS, and completion of required clearances within 90 days. Preferred BSN and broader critical care experience are welcomed; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with current state licensure.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Must obtain clearances within 90 days.
• 1 year CCU/Cath Lab/PACU or 2 years telemetry; 3 years med-surg possible.
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Nurse Practice Act.
• Rotate days/nights; 12-hour shifts; every other weekend & holidays.
• Adhere to HR policies and complete required clearances.

DEPARTMENT: Critical Care

WORK HOURS: (3) 12 hour shifts per week; rotating days/nights; every other weekend & holidays.

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. One year recent experience in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, Cath lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit or Emergency Department or two years of telemetry nursing experience. Will consider three years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.

Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing. Two years of acute care nursing experience and two years of Critical Care experience. Certification in this specialty area.
