Job summary

NorthWest EMS is seeking a registered nurse for our Cardiology, Interventional Radiology (IR), and General Radiology departments. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, with on-call requirements after hours, weekends, and holidays starting November.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure (and other state licensure as required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Two years current Cardiology/Interventional Radiology experience.
• If no Cardiology/IR, two years Critical Care or ED experience accepted.
• Cardiopulmonary experience of 5+ years acceptable if other criteria unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, and General Radiology.
• Works FT Mon-Fri 8hrs/day with on-call after hours, weekends and holidays.
• Must be flexible with scheduling to meet patient and department needs.

Job description

Department: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology (IR), General Radiology, Work Hours: FT position Monday-Friday 8hrs/day and on call for after hours, weekends and holiday (starting Nov). RN will be trained to rotate in all positions. Needs to be very flexible with scheduling to meet patient scheduling and departmental needs.

Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Based on operational needs, on-call and late shifts may be required

Two years current Cardiology/ Interventional Radiology Experience. In the absence of applicants with two years current Cardiology/ IR experience, will accept two years Critical Care or current ED experience. In the absence Critical Care and ED experience we will accept Cardiopulmonary experience of 5 years or more.

Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. Certification in the posted specialty area.
