Job summary

Ascension in Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown Float role. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure orders from physicians and nursing staff are accurately carried out.

The position requires active RN licensure in Tennessee, ALS and BLS credentials, and strong teamwork with a patient‑centered approach to care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required prior to/hire date or transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.

• Serves as a coordinator of disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
