Job summary

Tyson Foods in Logansport, IN is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to support the health of our plant team. You’ll perform medical histories, physicals, and wellness guidance while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

RN license required or eligible; on-the-job training even for new grads; shift options 3:00pm-11:30pm or 5:00pm-1:30am; a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license; newly licensed nurses welcome.
• 1+ years of nursing experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Occupational Health experience not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document in electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
• Provide education and guidance on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and recovery.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with first aid and CPR as needed.
• Occasionally travel to local clinics or hospitals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Newly licensed nurses are welcome to apply!
• Experience: While 1+ years of nursing experience is preferred but not required. We are excited to support new graduates eager to begin their career. Occupational Health experience is not required. We will train on the job! Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others. Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk unassisted through the plant, quickly respond to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required.
