Job summary

Ascension Via Christi St Joseph in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join Adolescent Behavioral Health for night shift, full-time. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and provide nursing care to support recovery.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in group therapy facilitation, and advocate for patients’ long-term goals. BLS and Kansas RN licensure required; diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical journey with comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, and social health.
• Design and evolve individualized care plans aligned with treatment goals.
• Lead therapeutic engagement by co-facilitating group therapy and providing evidence-based nursing care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Direct the patient's clinical journey by performing comprehensive assessments that evaluate physical, psychological, and social health to ensure a holistic start to the recovery process.
• Design and evolve individualized care plans that align with the master treatment goals, ensuring every intervention is purposeful and responsive to the patient's progress.
• Lead therapeutic engagement by co-facilitating group therapy sessions and implementing evidence-based nursing care that helps patients develop vital coping and stabilization skills.
• Collaborate as a clinical advocate within multidisciplinary team conferences, providing critical insights that shape the goals and objectives of the patient's long-term treatment plan.
• Optimize treatment outcomes by continuously evaluating patient responses to care and proactively adjusting interventions to meet their changing clinical needs.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
