Ascension Health in Wichita, KS seeks a Pediatric Acute Care RN for night shift, full-time. You will coordinate holistic care with multidisciplinary teams, execute orders precisely, monitor patient conditions, and guide families through discharge planning to ensure safe transitions home.

Minimum qualifications include RN licensure in Kansas, BLS, and PALS completion within specified timelines, with a nursing diploma required at hire.

• BLS Provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• PALS must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse by Kansas Board of Nursing prior to hire.

• Coordinate holistic patient care journeys by collaborating with various medical disciplines to ensure every child receives a seamless and well-integrated treatment plan.

• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision to provide direct, high-quality care that aligns with the highest safety and clinical standards.

• Monitor and communicate real-time changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team, ensuring proactive adjustments to care plans for optimal recovery.

• Empower families and patients by leading discharge planning and education, ensuring a smooth and confident transition from hospital to home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
