Registered Nurse, Acute Care Float Pool- 36 Hours, Nights

Registered Nurse, Acute Care Float Pool- 36 Hours, Nights

Location: Worcester, MA University Campus

Schedule: Full time, 36 Hours, Nights (7pm-7:30am)

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Cost Center: 10020 - 0150 NSG Float Pool

Union: MNA-University (Massachusetts Nurses Association)

This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
  • Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
  • Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
  • Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
  • Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

  • Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
  • BLS is a requirement for every RN. In addition, unit specific certifications and competencies are defined in the Unit Profile.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
