Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus - Glick unit is seeking a skilled RN to support inpatient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role includes 7a-7p shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and a total of 72 bi-weekly hours.

Eligible RNs may receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience, plus comprehensive benefits including tuition reimbursement and OPERS retirement. Oncology/hematology experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (or obtainable within 90 days).
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care on the unit.
• Administer IV therapies and blood products.
• Support oncology and medical/surgical patients under supervision.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers to ensure quality care.

Primary Patient Population

Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds) Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Medical/Surgical Overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned

• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
• Hospice and palliative care
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel RN will work with

LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
