Job summary

Journey is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at The Rosewood on Tybee Island. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves direct supervision of nursing staff and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures policy and procedure compliance by nursing personnel.
• Participates in resident admissions, discharges and transfers as required.
• Assesses changes in resident status and notifies physician and family, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries out orders as written.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
