Job summary

Journey is seeking a skilled registered nurse to join our compassionate care team in Eastman, GA. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care, emphasizing safety, quality, and patient-centered outcomes.

We value strong clinical skills, clear communication, and dedication to long-term care residents. The RN license must be current and CPR certified; prior long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Promotes holistic care using the nursing model.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
