Job summary

Journey at Tybee Island, GA is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, and supervise LPNs/LVNs and CNAs in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practice state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of LPN/LVN and CNAs per regulations and policies.
• Follows nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Participates in admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and notifies physician and family as needed.
• Transcribes physician orders and carries them out.

As an RN at Journey Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
