Job summary

Journey Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our local healthcare team in Frederick, MD. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a dedicated Care Team to deliver high-quality outcomes for residents.

You will oversee daily nursing activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in admissions, discharges and transfers, while maintaining compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and notifies physician and family, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
