Job summary

Premise Health in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to provide care to client employees and their dependents at our on-site Health Center.

The role includes nursing evaluations, treating within scope, collaborating with physicians, performing tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision), administering medications, maintaining records, and promoting health. Strong phlebotomy skills are required to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.
• BSN preferred; AS or Nursing Certificate required.
• At least three years of RN experience in ER/occupational health or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and conduct nursing evaluations within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other practitioners for further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within legal scope.
• Maintain equipment, ensure a clean, safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient health records with accuracy and currency.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Kingsport, TN.

The scheduled hours are: Week 1: Monday, 8-6, Tuesday, 9:30-5, Wednesday, 9-4:30, Thursday, 8-4. Week 2: Monday, 7-5:30, Tuesday, 7-4, Thursday, 7-6, Friday, 7-2:30, Saturday, 8-1. Strong phlebotomy skills are required.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
